Come and perform your latest Gypsy or Belly Dance at this informal party
Join us for this fun party. Bring friends and family. Drinks will be provided. Please bring a light snack for us to share. Bring a folding chair also. Some homey seating is provided.
Attendees $5 to cover costs. Performers Free and musicians free. Children free.
We will
take video and pictures too.
Bring your cameras.
Drummers and musicians welcome,
for a drum circle and to play
and let others dance to.

Learn what dancing to Turkish Rhythm 9/8 is all about. Learn skirt work that is authentic and tambourine that is adaptable to all your dance styles.
Influenced by Dalia Carella and Serena Wilson as well as years of performing in NY, Amara Al Amir is not only Egyptian Style. "My first 15 years was more in the Turkish, Armenian, Greek style with some Arabic/American through in. You were not considered a Belly Dancer if you could not master 9/8, it was the finale of all our shows"

Directions: Glenwood North SubDevelopment at the intersection of Glenwood Ave / 70 and Hilburn/Glenwood Forest Rd. Enter, straight to go around and see clubhouse. Parking in front and rear of pool.
- Anyone who wants to perform a Gypsy, Tribal or Belly Dance and / or just join together for a party. Bring a snack dish. $5 Door, No charge for performers, children or musicians.
- Call or email: amara@amaraalamir.com to reserve, RSVP is ok, but to dance, please reserve with Amara. Just bring you CD that day.
- Glenwood North is a cozy and beautiful clubhouse with couches, fireplace, kitchen, showers, this is more of a friends party and very informal.
